Two of my all-time favorite writers share this day:
Galway Kinnell, poet extraordinaire.
Reynolds Price, novelist, poet, and essayist.
Rosacoke and Wesley may be my all-time favorite literary couple. I first read A Long and Happy Life when I was 17, the age Rosacoke is in the book. I read it again every 5 years or so, and every time I am struck by Reynold's incredible gift of tone.
